My Guide to Getting Stronger: Good Go Study.
I've just put a page together on Relative Ranks. I'm not sure if it's at all accurate, but it bears thinking about... If I'm considered 7-kyu, I'm really about 7/50... of course it's impossible to tell what the relative rank of a 9 pro dan is (you can assume that, even if the scale is correct, you may never reach 50/50).

Created a blank Kifu using this Kifu Generation tool. In Internet Explorer, change your print settings to:
Landscape, Left 0.6", Right 0.5", Top 0.5", Bottom 0.5"
Also created with Circles.
And a semi-experimental one with grayscale color.
